We are here to promote literature in Zambia; to get the whole country back to reading, promote writing, discover and nurture writing talent from all corners, nooks and crannies of the country and take Zambian writing to the world.

We give voice to every Zambian writer as well as every player in the entire literary ecosystem. We provide the platform, the environment, the universe for literature to thrive. We are here to provide representation for the whole literary body, to government and its agencies, to other organisations local and international.

Our mission is to bring the cultural and artistic expression that writing is, in all its forms from light/recreational to formal/occupational/commercial to its zenith in full service of the nation.
